North Korea official name is Popular Democratic Republic of Korea.
North Korea is a country from the Oriental Asia and it is located above South Korea. The capital of this country is Pyongyang.
The main Geographic coordinates are 40 00 N, 127 00 E.
North Korea joined the UN 17 of September of 1991.



People:


People who live in North Korea are called North Koreans, the official language they speak is the Korean
hese language is speak by 24.000.000 people. People can only practise religions that exist in the country,
which are:

  • Christianity
  • Protestant and Catholic
  • Buddhism
  • Chondoism.

People can practise freely these religions but it is not permit to practise proselytism and it is not also permit to introduce new religions.

The blue colour represents the desire to fight for the victory of the ideals of independence, peace and friendship in the unit with the progressive people of the world, the red symbolizes the noble patriotic spirit of the revolutionary forerunners and the fighting spirit of Korean people, and white (traditional colour of Korea) represents the purity of the ideals of North Korea and its national sovereignty. The red star symbolizes the glorious revolutionary traditions inherited by the Republic. And the circle reminds the symbol of yin and yang, which is a traditional symbol of Korean culture.

Goverment:



North Korea is a non-democratic state. It is a socialist state in which the state interferes in everything, one of the objectives of this type of government is to provide people everything they need, but we can say that it has got some dictatorship characteristics because the state is govern by a single person who use the army to maintain control.
The name of the leader of this country is Kim Jong-Un
he is the third and last son of Kim Jong - Il and grandson of the founder of North Korea.Kim Jong-Un is known as a dictator.

Korea became a Japanese colony in 1910 after Russia lost the Russo-Japanese War in 1905.Corea got its independence in 1945.

Population:

There are 25.026.588 inhabitants. Of which they are over a million of soldiers in active and seven million are in the reserve. In North Korea there are 12.727.028 women and 12.168.452 men.
  • The population density is about 199.54 inhabitants / sq. km.
  • The natality rate is of 14, 51 births/1.000 inhabitant.
  • The mortality rate is of 9, 18 deaths/1.000 inhabitants.






Economy:

Since the fall of the socialist camp the country is experiencing a chronic economic crisis, exacerbated by the blockades which subjected the international community.
The whole economy is in the hands of the State Planning Committee.
Given that the system corresponds to a centrally planned economy, all companies belonging to the State.
North Korea is not part of the IMF or the World Bank, and none of these institutions has detailed information on the country's economy.
The principal of the living North Korea industries include military products, construction machinery , electric power, chemicals , mining ( coal, iron , limestone, graphite , copper , zinc , etc.) , metallurgy , textile , processing of food and tourism.
In North Korea, there is a great shortage of food, agricultural lands and petroleum.

North Korea has a combination of a continental climate and an oceanic climate, with four distinct seasons. Most of North Korea is classified as being of a humid continental climate, with warm summers and cold, dry winters. In summer, there is a short rainy season called changma.
Long winters bring bitter cold and clear weather interspersed with snow storms as a result of northern and north-western winds that blow from Siberia. The daily average high and low temperatures for Pyongyang in January are −3 and −13 °C (27 and 9 °F). On average, it snows thirty-seven days during the winter. Winter can be particularly harsh in the northern, mountainous regions.
Summer tends to be short, hot, humid, and rainy because of the southern and south eastern monsoon winds that bring moist air from the Pacific Ocean. Spring and autumn are transitional seasons marked by mild temperatures and variable winds and bring the most pleasant weather. The daily average high and low temperatures for Pyongyang in August are 29 and 20 °C (84 and 68 °F).
On average, approximately 60% of all precipitation occurs from June to September. Natural hazards include late spring droughts which are often followed by severe flooding. Typhoons affect the peninsula on an average of at least once every summer or early autumn. The worst drought Korean Central News Agency, the drought was the worst seen in 100 years.



Domesticpolicy:

Korea is a socialist republic based on the Juche ideology. No single party organized political life.
Political activity is primarily military. The state controls the media and censorship of information.


Education:
After 2012 education was reform basic education was obligatory in 12 years, 6 years in pre-primary, 3 primary and 3 secondary.
The government of Kim Jong UN ordered study plans balanced between academic and political matters focused on communism. As for higher education, the percentage is much lower, with one big difference between men and women: 14% of men and 7% of women have advanced degrees.


Healthcare:
Health System North Korea has an abundance of medical personnel available. In North Korea, there is a “doctor" that is responsible for about 130 families. Malnutritionis a problem in North Korea


Foreignpolicy:

The conflict between the two Koreas, nuclear testing and military actions of North Korea, causing a permanent pre-war situation and it is a dangerous country for the international community.
Amnesty International has denounced the violation of human rights, use torture, the death penalty, detention and imprisonment.
The UN has produced a report stating that North Korea human rights and crimes against humanity violated.
The North Korean government does not cooperate with international organizations.
